Pakistan is home to one of the region's most active handmade rug industries, with skilled artisans producing everything from tribal Balochi pieces rooted in Pakistan's own Baluchistan region, to Central Asian Bokhara patterns, to designs carrying traditions from neighboring Iran and Afghanistan. This collection brings that range together - different origins, one shared standard of hand-knotted and hand-woven craft.

The Art of Weaving

Rug weaving in Pakistan traces back to the nomadic tribes who first settled the region, and different areas developed their own distinct styles over generations. Two techniques define most of what's woven here: hand-knotting, where individual knots are tied by hand to build a dense, long-lasting pile in floral, geometric, or medallion patterns; and flat-weaving, used for kilims, which skips the knots entirely for a lighter, more versatile textile.

Balochi Rugs

Originating from Pakistan's Baluchistan region, Balochi rugs carry tribal geometric patterns, earthy tones, and genuinely durable construction - a style built for daily use as much as decoration, well suited to high-traffic spaces without losing its cultural character.

Bokhara Rugs

Inspired by the Central Asian Bokhara tradition, these rugs feature the repeating oval gul motifs the style is known for, hand-knotted from quality wool in vibrant, striking color combinations. A design so recognizable it's traded internationally under its own name.

Gabbeh Rugs

Gabbeh designs originate with the nomadic tribes of Iran, known for a thick pile, minimalist abstract patterns, and vibrant color. Our Gabbeh pieces are woven by artisans in Pakistan, carrying that Persian design tradition forward with the same coarse, textural character.

Chobi Rugs

Chobi rugs rework antique Oushak and Ziegler patterns from the Afghan design tradition, hand-spun. Ours are woven by artisans in Pakistan, blending that Afghan design lineage with earthy, botanical motifs.
