This is one of the largest sizes in our handmade rug collection, and it exists for two specific reasons: a king bed, and a genuinely large living or dining room. Both need more floor coverage than most standard sizes provide, and 9' by 12' was built with exactly that gap in mind.

Anchoring a Genuinely Large Room

This size also does real work in a large living room or dining room - big enough to sit under a full seating group with all four legs of the furniture resting on it, or to give a long dining table real breathing room on every side. If your room runs a size smaller, 8x10 may be the better fit.
