5 Ft Runner Rugs (150 cm)

A little more length, a lot more flexibility.

A 5-foot runner rug picks up right where a 4-foot one leaves off - just enough extra length to comfortably cover a single doorway threshold, or stretch along a short run of kitchen counter, without turning into a full hallway runner. It's a genuinely useful in-between length, not just a rounding error on the tape measure.

Where a 5-Foot Runner Actually Fits

This length is a natural fit for a single entryway or interior doorway - long enough to cover the space comfortably on both sides of the threshold, without the doubled-up look you'd get from two shorter runners side by side.

In the kitchen, it works well along a single run of counter - between the sink and the stove, for example - giving you a continuous strip of cushioning rather than a series of gaps. See our Kitchen Rugs page for more on placement near a stove specifically. It also sits well in front of a loveseat or a small sofa, or in a narrow bathroom or laundry room with just a bit more floor length to work with than a smaller closet.

Kilim or Knotted? Depends Where It's Going

At this length, you genuinely have a choice to make. In a kitchen, bathroom, or other high-traffic spot, a flat-woven kilim tends to hold up better and clean up faster - see our Kilims collection for options. In a quieter spot, like beside a loveseat, a hand-knotted pile runner brings more texture and warmth underfoot, without the same daily wear working against it.

How It Compares to Other Runner Lengths

A 5-foot runner sits just above our shortest option - our 4 Ft Runner page covers that tighter range. For a genuine hallway, a doorway pair, or a section of a larger room, our Short Runner Rugs collection is the next step up, and Long Runner Rugs covers full hallways and staircases beyond that.

Every 5-foot runner we carry is a genuine handmade rug or carpet, hand-knotted or hand-woven by an artisan family - the same standard we hold across every size, whether it's a small runner or a room-sized piece. Each one is one of a kind, with free shipping to the USA and worldwide, arriving in 7–9 business days.
